Wierd Internet access problem via Cradle

I have inherited a very strange problem. At work, I am able to access the internet fine via my proxy. Actually, when I connect my Axim to the cradle, it inherits the Internet settings of my work PC and I can surf with no problems.

The problem is now at home. I used to be able to surf the Internet just fine from my cradle at home. Oh, BTW, I currently sync between two computers. This is what is strange. I can sync with no problem at home. When I try to access the Internet, I can't. So I checked Settings -> Connections -> Work -> Proxy Settings to make sure that "This network connects to the Internet" is checked. It is. However, it still had the Proxy server defined from work. So I uncheck the proxy server and left the first option checked to connect to the Internet. This should work. However, when I try to save the settings, it won't. When I go back in to check the proxy settings, everything is unchecked. I continue to try to check the internet option and it keeps unchecking itself. So therefore, my Passthru at home does not work. But it works on my PC at work.

I want to try to avoid a Hard reset if all possible.

Here is my connection settings: Internet - > Work - > Work

On my PC at home, my Passthru option is checked and the connection that I use is Work. Why does my changes keep undoing itself? I am stumped on this one. Has any kind soul encountered the same problem?
