On/off button activates "align" function

The off button on my X5 doesn't work anymore - it activates the "align screen" function, so I can't turn the thing off. Is there a registry tweak or something that can get things back to normal?

thats a very strange problem your having. i assume you have but have you done a soft reset? if that doesnt work you could restore from a backup if you have one from before the problem started.

I believe there is an registry tweak you can to with 'power button'
If you figure out which one is, please post where it is, as others might have same trouble. Meanwhile I'll try to look for it too.

Wylo Shocker and zsunsun:
I searched the Registry (with Resco Explorer) for quite a while without finding anything that could explain this. Then I noticed that the scroll dial (the pin on the left side) was stuck in top position. When I moved it back to the normal position, the Off button worked normally again. It sounds logical, I guess, that the "align screen" function would activate in a situation like that - but I never heard of it before. Thanks for your suggestions!

Very interesting discovery! Works for me with the Scroll Wheel pushed-in (not up) while pushing the Power button
