Axim connecting to Activesync as guest

For some reason when I put my Axim into the syncing cradle it gets connected as a guest. What is even stranger is that it doesn't always happen. Sometimes I plug it in and it works perfectly, other times it connects me as a guest.

It didn't start doing this until a couple days ago but I have no idea what I might have done to cause the problem. I have tried closing down all the programs on my Axim and also reseting it but it still doesn't always work. I am not even sure if the problem is with my axim or with my computer. If someone could tell me how to fix it I would really appreciate it.

that was happening to me as well, but i found that the reason for that in my situation is that i was syncing with pocket informant running (minimized), but with pi running, i would get synced as guest, when i closed pi, and synced, would sync perfectly.........i have heard that calligrapher caused the same problem......if you run those two programs and sync, that could be the cause of your syncing as guest problems

Thanks for the help. I usually have both Pocket Informant and Calligrapher running when I sync. I will make sure to close them from now on.
