New user bit confused

Hello, I was asking for help on another forum and got directed here. Have spent the morning reading and am pleased to find that I am not alone.

I have been fortunate(I think) to have been given a really good condition x5 with usb cradle by a customer that buys gadgets and never learns to use.

I am pretty good with a PC but have never used a pocket pc.

I have ordered a wireless cf card so I can access the net wirelessly at home and am trying to learn to imput by writing Howls with laughter.........

Just a couple of questions, is there anyway to get on line as it stands via the pc.

I only use Outlook express is that why none of my inbox etc syncronises?

Welcome aboard. I think there is a way to use Outlook express, but I have no idea how. Outlook is the best choice. There is probably some 3rd party software to use express.

You can access the Internet via the cradle (although I'm not sure why you'd want to).

You need to use Outlook (rather than Outlook Express) to synch mail and contacts.

Well while I await the wireless card, I wanted to get the hang of whatever interface there is to browse.

First of all, welcome to aximsite!

Second, I would definitely use Outlook, Outlook Express I don't think works unless there is some sort of a third party application to let you use express. And yes, you can connect to the internet with the cradle, though personally I never have bothered, it's easier to use the PC since it's sitting right there :D

Here is a 3rd party soltion that may be what you need if you wabt to sync with express. There are probably others as well. If you can sync and use Outlook, it would be better.
