How To Upgrade ActiveSync?

Hi:
Has anyone upgraded their ActiveSync Version 3.5 (which came with the X5) to Version 4.2 (or at least Version 3.8?)? I'm trying to download Phat Notes to my X5, but it requires a minimum version of 3.8. I tried upgrading from the Microsoft web site, however, the site couldn't continue using English instructions.
Any help to upgrade is appreciated.

Happy Holidays!

If you need 3.8, go here and arrow down the page, don't use the Microsoft link it will only get the new one, use the HPC Factor link, that will be 3.8

The 4.5 beta is the very latest version:

Here's the link for 4.2:

However, I really recommend 3.8 if you have the X5. Microsoft no longer has it available but I found a link here:

However, note this file is coming from a third party site.

Thanks both for the information. Unfortunately, I couldn't download from either sites-- "Not a valid win 32 applicaiton". Maybe I should upgrade my X-5!

Are you sure you downloaded the correct file? I just tried the HPC link and was able to install it. (My link was extremely slow, probably due to the Internet problems in Asia now).

I finally downleaded version 3.8. Thanks for your help on that matter. However, I still cannot downlead a trial version of Phat Notes. It's downloaded on the desktop, however, when I connect my X5 to the cradle, I get an error message:
"Phat NOtes does not support connected device type".
Thanks for all your help, Gigi. Any further suggestions is appreciated.:)

Do you have the WM 2003 OS upgrade installed on your X5? The system requirements I see says that it requires that at a minimum. Otherwise...no clue here.

Looking at the info from the X5, no, I don't ahve the WM 2003 upgrade. Is it available to download?
Thanks for you interest and assistance.

I'm not too familiar with the X5 and its WM 2003 upgrade, but perhaps the sticky at the top of this forums would help out if you haven't checked it out already.
