trick x5 into thinking it's cradled?

what do I have to mod in the charge and sync cable to enable high current (cradle) charging mode?

the trickle charge is not enough to power the dell and charge the battery at the same time (needs 700ma @ 400mhz + wifi, stock usb cable draws 110ma)

I notice the cradle provides all this current and more, through the expansion connector. so the expansion connector can handle the current, but declines by default. is there a pin that needs to be set high or a resistor or something, to enable high current mode? or is it sneaky, like some sort of handshake or something from portable to cradle?

On my X5 the cradle has a separate Plugpack that supplies the extra current (or you can plug it directly into the socket next to the 'expansion' connector on the bottom of the Axim).
USB ports can only deliver a max 500 mA anyway (often less) so the USB cable was only ever intended as a trickle charger.
