I am in the market for a new cordless phone and have been toying with the idea of a Vtech 5.8Ghz phone. I am wondering if this will cause any problems with my 802.11b which I run on my Axim. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

It shouldn't cause any desensing problems. 811b and 811g use 2.4 ghz radio signals so a 2.4 ghz phone can potentially cause problems with range and dropouts, but the 5.8 ghz frequencies are far enough away that only a defective transmitter or receiver should cause problems to a 2.4 ghz wireless network...

Have fun with your toys!
