Question Powerpoint presentations...

After much oohing and aahing. I am buying a Dell Axim 400.

I understand that powerpoint(ppt) viewer software is supplied. How complete is this and what are the limitations? Could one do ppt presentations via a data projector?

I am eagerly anticipating delivery of my first PPC!

What exactly are you interested in. The included software is IA Presenter. You can read more about it right here:

If you are serious about using PPT on your Axim, I like Pocket Slides from Conduits...

If your really keen (like me) you might want to purchase the cf adapter to use with a projector - I use the presenter to go software which comes with it. Although you can't edit the slides once transfered the way the ax handles the slides is really cool - you can view your notes while projecting the slide for instance:)

I personally use the Westtek ClearVue Suite. It has full support for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an ImageViewer. The PowerPoint support in ClearVue is excellent. I use it all the time to practice/review presentations before going in to speak. Also, coupled with the HP Mobile Printing software (free), the ClearVue suite allows for printing of any of these documents via Infrared, network, or bluetooth.

anyone having trouble with these cropping the sides of the slides? I have the flypresenter, and have tried the software that comes with it, as well as the demo of pocketslides. I can adjust it so that only a little of each side (left and right) are cropped, but I can't get it to work all the way. I would guess it's cropping about 40pixels off each side using our 800x600 projector. Kinda annoying to have to go through the presentation before hand and make sure everything is away from the edges. Any ideas?

I've not had this problem with presenter-to-go. Have you checked screen resolution? or tried changing the orientation of the slides in powerpoint?

Well you shouldn't have to...but just wondered if rotating them might help prevent losing some of the width?
