Can't Transfer files

Help,

When I try to transfer files my Axim disconects and or freezes up. If I turn it off then back on it resyncs but it still won't transfer files. Any ideas? Thanks Docker

It's transferring files when it syncs, so how exactly are you transferring them when it goes bad?

Have you checked your memory space? Go to settings -- system -- memory. Is the file bigger than your available memory. I suppose it's not ... just a thought.

Yeah it syncs fine, but when I try to copy a MP3 or any file for that matter the progres bar stops, then the Axim beeps like when you first put it in its cradle. Nothing happens the AS says its disconected. I'm on an 8100 Dell. Read somewhere that theres a prob with the usb on them. Will upgradeing to usb 2.0 help? also what are some good usb 2.0 pci cards?

I'd try just plugging it into a different socket first, if you think it's a usb problem.
There's no inherent reason for it to stop sending a file ... unless it's somehow trying to do a conversion and hitting a wall.
I did choke my AS once when I was trying to pass a word doc w/ embedded graphics, and the conversion to pword turned off. I had to reboot the PC to clear it out.

Make sure there is no conversion happening for mp3.

Well spent the 20 bucks on a usb 2.0 after listening to a friend. Not a problem since. Have tranfered about 120 MB so far (filling up my cf card with mp3's for work) and getting ready to start excel and word files. To everyone who is having this transfer prob, just buy a cheap usb 2.0 problem solved!
