I just got a 128 SD card that I'm putting all of my applications on. Question is... I'm going to get a 256 CF for movies and mp3s. The backup is soooo slow already(have it set to incremental) that if it has to back up 256 meg I'll die :)

is there any way to tell it what folders not to back up. Do we have any control over this? thanks!

I did some tests and determined that the memory cards are not backed up, or restored by a restore operation. I did this by performing an Active Sync backup (full) and then modifying the SD card contents, then a hard reset and restore. The card was not restored.
File storage on a memory card should not affect the time it takes.

On the PC Active Sync window, choose options and select those items you want to sync.

Well ... not exactly. Cards don't need to be backed up because they're not volatile.
It's up to you to copy the contents to a PC folder, so if you should lose it or if it suddenly goes bad, you could download the files to a new one. I'm about to do this because I just received a new 256 SD today, and I need to swap out my old 32.
