Palm before Axim
Who here previously used a Palm OS device before buying an Axim? I had a Palm IIIxe before the Axim and loved it but decided I wanted to try something new. I don't regret my decision one bit. I miss the Palm OS every once in a while but over all it has been a great experience using my wonderfull Axim.

I had a quite old palm. I liked it, but i didnt use it very much. Ppc 2002 is superior to that(imo), though i havnt tried a palm in 2 years so i dont know how the new ones stand up.

Had a palm for about 3 weeks before Axim came out. Almost bought an Ipaq because of PPC and then I found the Axim.
Will never go back.

Another old Palm user here. My last Palm was an m515 and then I went to the Axim. I do not regret it either. Th Palms were great for what I used them for, but, I really appreciate the flexibility and power in my Axim.

I had a Palm III then a Palm V before the Axim. Decided that PocketPC would be more useful for my needs. I get much more use out of my Axim than I did the Palms. The transition from Palm to PocketPC was effortless. For the money, the Axim is so worth it.

I still have my NR70 laying around (my daughter games on it and I use it for beta testing). I never thought I would be able to part with it, but since I got my Axim, I just don't seem to want to even pick it up again. The Axim is my first PPC and I don't see myself purchasing another Palm unit. I am too spoiled now :D

I was a Palm Zealot. IIIe, IIIc, IBM WorkPad c500 (m500). Seriously contemplated the Tungsten until I found out all the limitations and halfway efforts it contained. I tried to use some of the freeware tools to write some programs and it was incredibly tedious. Sure, CodeWarrior makes things easier, but I won't spend $500 on ANY software package, much less one for a hobby.
I figured if I was going to make the move to a new CPU, I might as well try the PPC. PalmOS kept letting me down. The application support was FAR superior, but I don't need 50 different ways to view Excel files without a fully compatible creation method.
I also found that the more entertaining my PDA was when I DIDN'T need it for work, the more likely I was to have it with me when I DID need it for work.
I bought the Axim for the flexibility of CF+SD, and the price. Honestly I was quite leery of buying ANYTHING from our friends in Texas. They have a significant reputation for shoddy products. So far, this is a happy exception.

Yes also had a Palm Based OS system before purchasing my Axim. TRG Pro first, with CF card slot for expanding memory, was stolen, and then purchased the HandEra 330 sd SLOT & also CF card slot. They stopped making the unit due to cost of Palm OS. So for those of us who had purchased one, if it was in warranty great! But otherwise if it breaks, you have an expensive paperweight! Will not go back to the Palm OS. Again, have more power, better graphics, and paid less. Duh Can You Say No Brainer???
