When I try to start MS reader, I get the little spinning propeller icon telling me that something's happening, but it just hangs there. After a few minutes I get the verbal 'memory is low' warning, even though I've got plenty of free memory. When I kill the MS reader process, memory is still full. A soft reset clears it up, but every time I try to run MS Reader I have the same problem. Any ideas what to do? Thanks!

Just some guesses since I haven't run into this issue:

1. Do you have a bunch of books already loaded on your Axim? Reader attempts to locate all of these when it starts up.

2. Maybe a corrupt book is causing a problem? There is a version of Microsoft Reader for the desktop. You could try opening them there just to see.

Finally got it straightened out. Tried deleting all the ebooks, no luck. Soft reset, no luck. Full backup-hard reset-restore, no luck. Finally I did a hard reset and loaded everything back on without using restore and it cleared up. Big PITA, but things are back to normal. I wish I knew what caused it so I could make it a point not to do the same thing again.

Reader Hangs

MS Reader does the exact same thing on my Axim. The propeller starts spinning then nothing.

Any way to get this working without a hard reset. I finally have my wireless card working right, and have loaded quite a few programs.

If anyone knows how to fix this without a hard reset, help is appreciated.

Or is there a really good backup program I could use? I can't imagine tracking down all my reg numbers, etc.

Thanks
