Order status

I have two on order:

I ordered a 300 mhz on 1-14 and the delivery estimate is 2-10.
I've offered to sell it to anyone interested (see classified section). Since there's been no response, I will likely cancel the order.

I ordered a 400 mhz on 1-20 and the delivery estimate is 2-13.
Paid only $288.45 (before rebate) so I'm not complaing about the long lead time. And besides, everyone says the wait is worth it. It's common for a new hot product to have this kind of delay. My biggest problem with Dell is their uninformed CS sales people. I've talked to about four of them and two of the four must have been those interns, because they knew nothing! The other two were fantastic! They may not have known anything, but they truly wanted to help. And that's all I want out of the CS sales staff. I've obviously never had to call the tech people (since I don't have my Axim yet).

FYI, in about four years I've gone from a Palm IIIx, PalmIIIxe, Jornada 548, Compaq 3135, Compaq 3630, Jornada 720 to a DELL!

I have one on order, 8 Jan 03, with an expected delivery of 10-12 Feb 03. It's a 400mhz Ax with 128mb SD card, cradle, and the 3400ah battery. It erks me that people order after me and get the unit before me....but since this is my first PDA I don't know what I'm missing yet.

MPsmith - How did you get a 400 for $288.45?!! I thought I was doing good when I got mine for $309.00 before the rebate but now I'm upset! Did I miss something when I ordered?

Interestingly enough, I just read a post from someone who is on the phone with Dell and apparently the rep is a little ticked off thhat some people got this deal.

I've got the 300mhz on order for $268 before rebate! So if anyone wants to buy it and give me some cash for my trouble, I'm game!

I got the same deal. It was a loophole in the Dell Online system. If you searched for the product number of the Axim, rather than navigating to it, you got the $40 off deal that you couldn't get otherwise.

Always check www.techbargains.com before you buy something from Dell. There are usually some coupons you can use.

Though, I still haven't heard from Dell confirming my order.
