transfering with vista

ok, finally got vista to see my axim. Went to transfer some tunes to it and it informed me that it could not sync with media player 11. Who cares, I thought, I use Mortplayer. Went to just copy paste tunes across, and its giving me anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes per song to transfer...this is all wrong. What I am doing wrong here? Its connected thru Vistas mobile idevice center.

use a card reader instead of active stink

That was my suggestion as well. File transfer is incredibly slow if you do it in the Axim. Take the card out and sync directly between teh card and WMP.
