Connectivity help | PPC & Outlook stand alone internet connectivity

I recently changed jobs and no longer have the benefit of Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server to "host" my Calendar, Task, and Contact information. So I set up Outlook (2003) at home and want to synchronize my PPC (2003) via an internet connection at work with my Outlook at home. Can this be done or do I have to wait till I get home each night to synchronize? I would like to do this live so my family and I can see modifications to the calendar as they happen.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Remote synching

(I've never tried doing this myself, but others have gotten it to work)

I'm looking into an online provider for personal exchange server use. It's free and it might do what I want. mail2web.com is the site, does anyone have experience with such a service? I'm hoping to upload all of my calendar data (other data maybe too) and sync from home (outlook) and on the road/work (ppc).

I'll let you know if it works.

Ok, so the free personal exchange server online works with my PDS quite nicely. I just select it for my calendar to sync with the exchange server for the calendar function. My next step it to figure out if my desktop PC Outlook (2003) can differentiate between exchange server for calendar and regular pop3 for mail. Something is telling me that it can't. I'll try it this weekend. Otherwise. The online free exchange server would be a great alternative for a family with multiple PPC's trying to schedule their events!

The online Exchange Server is not a good solution for my needs. Cannot talk to the ExServer from my Axim. In other words, appointments made on the handheld are only on the handheld and are not uploaded to the ExServer on the internet.

So, no solution found yet...
