Syncing with more than one desktop PC

I want to sync my Axim with a second desktop computer (I currently sync only with the one at work). When I load the activesync software on to a second computer (the one at home) and run the initial sync with my Axim, will it erase all of the information that is currently on the Axim? If so, when I sync the Axim with my first computer at work, will the Axim then overrride the information on that computer too, causing my to lose all of my original information? Any thoughts

I have the same problem, I can't seem to figure out what it's looking for. It said it's designing for 2 desktops. One thing I do know, is that you can't sunc the Inbox and other Outlook apps but on one computer.

From what I have read, The inbox can only be synched by One Computer but all other Outlook functions can be synched. When you try to synch with the second computer it will give you an option to synch with ONLY this computer or Synch with this computer and another (I forget what it says exactly). Then you should be asked to overwrite, combine or do not synch at this time. Select combine and you are ready to go. If you have items entered on both computers ie, contacts, tasks, calander items, you might get some duplicates but those are easy to delete.

KLappDOgg reads pretty well. I synch on two computers all the time. It works exactly like he said. Just be careful -- if you modify the same contact or file on both computers, then try to synch, one of the updates will be lost.

I'm pretty sure the default settings are to merge items although you can click on the settings for individual items in the Options menu on ActiveSync on each PC to check the settings. If you have the same item on both machines, you may end up with duplicates. Also, the one thing I believe you cannot sync both places is the Inbox (although I vaguely remember someone describing a way to get that to work, too. Unfortunately, I do not remember the details since I do not sync my email on either PC. You might try a search on "syncing," "two" and "inbox" and see what you come up with).

My Axim Sync's fine with my work and home desktops... as long as I do a soft reset each time. If I don't do a soft reset with the Axim in the cradle the Axim and neither of my PC's will talk to each other. Any suggestions???
