Sprint PCS to Axim, one less option

It looks like the much anticipated Sony Ericcson t608 phone with bluetooth is not going to happen. SE announced they are pulling out of the CDMA North American market.

Is Sprint still supporting the wireless market with the vision plan... unlimited internet on the phone? I'd heard that if you're connecting to the internet with your sprint phone it doesn't count against your min's..

JagPlt1, yes Sprint still offers unlimited PCS Vision. I have the service & it rocks (other than frequent disconnects). I use a Gomadic cable to connect my LG5350 cell phone to my Axim & I can surf the net at speeds up to 115.2K!

Gomadic Rocks!

I have the cable with my Axim and LG phone as well!

Does anyone know how to find out what rate I'm surfing at?

Seems to be fairly fast, yet disconnects frequently...

between the three of us, one of us must find a way to stop this disconnecting thing, its so annoying. Mine does it like every two minutes...

I agree...we MUST find an answer

Once we can figure it out, I'd say it's the best idea next to sliced bread.

One person mentioned something about a "pinging" program to keep hitting the site so that it doesn't disconnect, but I'm not sure about this...

If you guys are using a cable try going into the connection properties and see if you can find an option to turn off tcp/ip header compression. This should stop the disconnects.
