Question Saving to location by default

Everything I do, the axim default saves to "built in storage" Example, notes all save to built in storage, even though I have it set to memory card if available.... I have a 512mb cf and a 128mb sd card, that I'd like to save all data to..... Anybody have any answers?

I thought the built-in storage WAS a memory card..?

I've never used a card with mine, so I wouldn't know. I actually have no idea what that built-in storage thing is for.

Built-in storage is a perk for unused space in the FlashROM that you can use to store data. The advantage to this is that when you do a hard reset, your data in the built-in storage will not be erased unlike everything else in the RAM.
The Axim doesn't save notes to memory cards even though you set it to "Memory card (if available)". Your best bet is to move those files manually using the file explorer. Another alternative is to mess with the registry to have files default to your memory card but I found no such code.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. I didn't realize that the onboard memory didn't get wiped when a hard reset was done.. I knew it was flashrom, but thought that everything on the axim got blasted during a hard reset. That's good to know, and it calms my fears of loosing data. Thanks.

Now I know what that thing's for, too :)

I guess you probably lose some of it if you upgrade to 2003, don't you..?
