Well, I ordered a replacement from dell....

Ok, I got a replacement because I had to press the power button a couple times to get it to respond, The sound was extremely distorted when volume up all the way, and the d-pad didn't respond very well to the right.

Do you think it will come with the new OS? I ordered my axim in december, I just ordered a replacement yesterday. Thanks!

Probably not ... Since the OS is new there are still probably a lot a refurbished units with old OS waiting to go out so they'd try using that stock up first ..

However you might get lucky but its no guarantee ..

Usually its 1 to 2 business days depending on the time of day you get your order for the replacement in ... So if you put in for your replacement on the 3rd and they overnighted it you wouldn't get it until Monday most likely since today is a holiday and I don't think they dilivered on weekends.

I put in for a replacement on June 25 because I had a red and blue line going down the axim screen (1 day old Axim). I was told the replacment would ship July 2 and be delivered on the 3rd.

Well, when I hadn't received a confirmation email about the shipping, I checked the order status online--my replacement unit has been cancelled!

I emailed customer care--they say they can't figure out why a replacement was cancelled, but it will take 3-5 business days for them to find out.

With the holiday, I would expect some delays in shipping.

If the replacement unit is a refurb, it may or may not come with its own stylus. I think technically you're supposed to send yours back as long as the replacement comes with a stylus, but i doubt they'll care if you dont send your old stylus.

if they told you to keep your battery, this unit is definitely a refurb (i think).
