ROM Back-up

Is there a way to grab a ROM image from the Axim?

Not that I'm aware of. However you might want to look at the A03 update. That is supposed to be a full ROM image that is loaded when you update. Might be easier to get into that one if your looking for something.

Now with WM2003 I'm not sure if the update CD they are giving out is a complete image but I would assume it is.

On the other hand, let us do so...

I am working on creating a Linux loader for Axim based on the OpenBrick loader. And I am trying to find a software solution to read/write into ROM.

Wonder if reverse engineering on the Dell updates will do so.. Its not like you are doing so for the information it provides, just the method. Watching it do so, it may run in what was it, 12 or 13 memory blocks?
