Pocket Jam v 2.01 Alpha are released today!

According to Silicon Machines - makers of Pocket Jam - the alpha version 2.01 will be relesed today!

New features:

General Speed Improvements Improved analogue filter algorithms, they now run faster. Further optimisations in mixing pipeline. These changes have eliminated all instances of final mix dropout on our test platform (iPAQ 3850). It has also allowed us to implement animated controls in loop mode ( see [2] below ).

In loop mode you now have the ability to see recorded control values actually play out realtime on the synths. The controls are animated with the recorded data. This animation can be disabled through a toggleable toolbar icon for slower CPUs.

Augmented STOP button functionality In loop mode; 1st click stops/pauses, 2nd click rewinds to beginning of loop.

Ability to import new drum sounds. New sounds replace the defaults. New imported sounds get saved in a compressed chunk within the JAM file. So if you send a JAM file to a freind, your new imported samples will be sent with it! The import facility is accesed through menu item: "Menu/Drums/Kit Editor"

Ability to enter the note editing matrixes from loop mode. When in a matrix in loop mode the displayed pattern changes as the loop plays. The user can also change the pattern number currently playing when in a matrix. If the user wishes to concentrate on a particular pattern within a loop then they can toggle a 'repeat' tool icon which will cause the matrix to play the current pattern repeatedly.

All matrixes (synth & drum) now have stop & play toolbar icons for one touch control of the sequence data.

Due to user request, the red 7 segment LED numeric displays have been brightened slightly in order that they be more legible on monochromatic displays.

Graphical Changes; New toolbar icon graphics have been drawn. New about screen graphics ant text layout. Main synth skin has been cleaned slightly.
