ive had probs with the dpad to but I was playing game on it to much thats why, i got it fixed though im going to try to be easy on the pad, returned it 90 days after i got it due to the dpad.

Also cant you tell what the voltage of the backup battery is through the ax, then maybe it could tell how accurate it is?

2.992 vdc is what mine reads at 100%!lol, ill try some other bats ive got that are half drained. Thats pretty wierd when they shipped my replacement its battery was at 70%, this is the very same bat, i beleive your right about the temp changes.

80% on ax is 2.951vdc
0% on ax is 2.471vdc, not that that helps :p

It seems that the more you restart your ax the more samples it takes, this encourges drain on the backup battery correct? Also im going to try to find out the sample rate just durring normal operation, maybe that would tell us something, or maybe not :p im just that bored right now

also it aquires samples when resuming from suspend.

Yet I get a low backup battery warning . It shows completely 0% battery level. After a few on and off cycles of the PDA the back battery will register 100%.
mine is the same, its 100 percent one minute and zero the next, have tried new battery in and its exactly thre same, very annoying

I've got both problems. The battery issue isn't a real problem but I'd like to use the nav button as intended. Alas, I still like the product - especially the price.

Mechanically the best PPC has been the Casio E-500 and Casiopia versions - price is too high to justify the newer 2002 or 2003 versions.
