Weird. I ordered mine on 1/9—a 300mhz with no accesories—says it will ship 1/31! According to the Order Status page it hasn't even started production yet! D'oh!

Aximpilot - Who do you know at Dell?! How did you get yours in 6 days? Please let the rest of us know; the wait is worse than waiting for Christmas! :(

My friend from Bible study has an Axim and he lets me play with it all the time to torture me! ARG!! It is so cool! I don't want to wait any longer!! I could have ordered it off of Ebay sooner than this! Still I am sure it will be worth it, so much better than the I-Crap 1910.......

Must be one of those damn Canadians, with their beady little eyes and their flapping heads ;)

I ordered mine on the 13th with an estimate date of 2/04.
I've heard about people ordering on the 5th and have their unit by the 9th. Or people that have ordered on the 15th and getting theirs around the 21st.
Then I've also heard about people ordering on the 25th of December and just getting their Axims. That's a month wait!!!!
I really hope this doesn't happen to any of us.
How do people end up waiting 3+ weeks and other people get their order in 6 days? It seems really inconsistent.

I think I ordered mine like on the 16th or 18th of January, and it says it should be here on Febraury 6-8.

Has anyone out there received their Axim this week? Mine is supposed to ship on 1/31 and I have a feeling that I am not going to see it in the mail then. This waiting is not fun. :(

Be careful when you are told that your order has shipped. I ordered an Axim on January 16 and was told it would ship on Feb 10. On the 20th, I got an email confirmation that my order shipped and would receive it in 3-5 days! Sure enough, in 3-5 days my "order" arrived. It was a piece of paper confirming that a tracking number was set up. I checked my order and there are 2 order numbers. One for the Axim, one for the confirmation. What shipped was a useless piece of paper that I couldn't really even figure out what it said. Bottom line, don't believe anything until the Axim actually arrives!

I (and I imagine most people) got that same piece of paper. Mine came fairly quickly after I ordered. Fortunately after I received the email confirm I checked Dell's website and saw the two order numbers (one for $0.00, the other for the Axim) and didn't get my hopes up needlessly.

I read infos on Dell order page and current status is:

Axim 400 (unit only): now shipping units ordered 1/7-1/9
Axim 300 (unit only): now shipping units ordered 12/28-1/1

Current lead time for new orders is 12 working days...

My 400 arrived today and it is the actual unit and not one of those strange notices. It was ordered on Jan 8th and was promised to ship on the 30th. A good week early.

Seems like a boatload of them shipped over the last two days.

The big question is, what does the order status page at Dell say?

The web page said it shipped on the 22nd. Before that it was always "in production"

Hope you get yours soon if you don't have it.
