Does the Axim permit the upgrade of firmware ?

And thats why you have 48M of ROM on the 400Mhz unit.. (room for upgrades!)

But you have to wait for Dell to release the upgrade, because it has to include Dell's drivers. (Screen control chips vary, as do some other components). Do not try to install another company's upgrade on a Dell. In the worst case, your unit will be unuseable untill Dell comes out with a Flash upgrade.

Actually, in the worse case, your unit will be unuseable, period, even after Dell comes out with a Flash upgrade.

Then comes you, on the phone, sheepsish begging for Dell to take your sweet unit in and reflash the BIOS... or you just have them ship you another unit - what am I talking about?!

Actually, that pretty much means you can do darn near anything you want, but note - you only have a certain number of times they'll send you out new units, sneaky bean counters!
