Worried Dell has me confused...

Ok... last night I saw on the order status page that my package was shipped, this morning I have a tracking number that shows up on the Fed Ex website and says that the product has been picked up. Expected to be on my doorstep on July 17th before 16:30.

Just minutes ago I received this email from Dell:

>>>We have reviewed your order. Although we had anticipated being able to ship
your order sooner,

we are experiencing an unexpected delay and will not be able to ship this
order and

any associated orders until on or before 7/22/2003.

No action is required to proceed with the new date, however, if you do not
wish to wait,

you may cancel your order and receive a prompt refund.<<<

Now, I originally ordered on June 25th... and now the package has been shipped according to Fed Ex and the tracking number that Dell provided. Is it safe to assume that the person who sent this email doesn't have a clue? In which case... my Dell truely is on its way?

After all the problems with WM2003 I am really starting to get concerned...

Dell doesn't have the best order tracking service. I would just keep an eye on the Fed Ex tracking.

Well, I called the 800 number provided... what a joke that is. Had to speak the order number and everything. Just so it could tell me that it has shipped and gave me the tracking number and everything.

*sigh* guess its just a matter of the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing...

What it is dell has a set up that they send the billing info to the shipping company several days before hand. Then when the product is made it is then picked up. SO they might have sent the billing / shipping info before the product was ready

Don't worry, it'll come... eventually.

They did the same thing to me except they called me with an automated message telling me that my order was on back order status the day it shipped. The package arrived the next day. It was a replacement order. Dell strikes again. :crooked:

Well... now when I check Fed Ex... 1 of the packages has left the building... the other is still in limbo at Fed Ex...

Dell shipped my Axim and SD card seperate...

Any guesses as to which box is still at the main Fed Ex?

I really have no idea, because Dell didn't tell me which tracking number is for which package...

I already have my leather flip case and my WiFi card, have had those for 2 weeks already, lotta good they are doing me.

If my Axim is a DOG like everyone seems to be saying they are... I think that this will be my last dealings with Dell.
