I hope someone can help me out here. Until this past week, I have been able to sync with all Outlook data just fine. On Monday, when I set my Axim in the cradle to sync, I got the following message on my PC:
"Synchronization cannot be completed because Microsoft Outlook cannot open the Contact folder. Close Outlook and then start Outlook again. Once Outlook is running, disconnect your mobile device and reconnect. If the problem persists, reinstall Outlook."
I CAN sync my Inbox, Files, AvantGo.
I CANNOT sync Contacts, Tasks, and Calendar now (I used to be able to just fine).
I have Outlook 2000 and ActiveSync 3.6 here at work on a PC using Windows 2000. My e-mail, calendar, and contacts are on the Exchange server.
Here is what I have tried (none of these worked):
Closed and opened Outlook and then resynched.
Ran Detect and Repair.
Resintalled Outlook.
Uninstalled Outlook and then reinstalled Outlook.
Uninstalled Microsoft Office and then reinstalled Office.
Uninstalled ActiveSync 3.6 and then reinstalled ActiveSync 3.6.
Uninstalled ActiveSync 3.6 and then installed ActiveSync 3.5.
Uninstalled ActiveSync 3.5 and then reinstalled ActiveSync 3.6.
Deleted my Partnership and then added a new one.
Performed a soft reset on my Axim.
Deleted my Contacts and then added a test Contact back in.
Restored my Contacts to what it was previously.
Removed Microsoft Exchange Server from Services in my Profile and then added it back in.
Removed my Profile and then added a new one.
Screamed and then screamed some more.
I am very frustrated right now. My Axim is a little useless if I cannot sync my Contacts, Tasks, and Calendars.
Any thoughts on what happened and how I can fix this? I cannot find a solution on Microsoft's Knowledge Base or by doing a search in Google. I have talked to our System Admin and he is out of ideas.
Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.
