I checked the support.dell.com page today to see if there was anything new - and I noticed that they've removed the 5th navigational button hotfix...

Anyone have any clue why? I'm intrigued!

Nick

That patch was pulled from the website because of install problems with Windows XP. It will be replaced when those problems are fixed.

Ahhh... that also explains why *I* had problems installing it.

Interesting, but also sort of disappointing - I was hoping they were ramping up to toss out a firmware update.

Oh well, can't hope for too much I guess!

Thanks for the info!!

I had upgraded to Windows XP just before I installed the hotfix for the D-pad. I used the instructions on our Aximsite and had no problems whatsoever getting it installed and working-----other than my own ten thumbs, that is. :D

That's strange - My "setup" didn't actually run the setup program.

I had to copy the CAB file over to my PPC and run it from there - no problems, but I can understand how people could get confused...
