For reasons unknown to me, I can no longer run Windows Media Player. I tried de-installing the application in order to re-install from the Dell CD, but it didn't show up when I tried using the Add/Remove programs option or the Add/Remove option in Activesync. When I tried to remove it by using Explore on the PC (while connected to the Axim via Activesync), the files found on the Axim appeared to be locked.

I re-installed over the existing application from the Dell CD but when I click on the Media icon, the Media splash screen flashes on the Axim for a split second then disappears. When I check for Programs Running, the Media Player does not show up. By the way, I did load PocketPC DVX a few days ago and then removed it.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I hate to say it, but the only way to fix your problem is a hard reset. The version that is on the CD is a old one, 8.0 vs 8.5 that is in the ROM....

If Windows Media Player isn't working on your Axim will buying another media player solve the problem?
