How does "reminder" work

i set my reminder to 1 day. so isn't it suppose to show up on my front page all day 1 day before it suppose to happen? can someone explain to me how the "reminder" works.

also is there a way to set it up to auto delete say after 1 month or is there an easier way for me to keep my axim organized and up to date on new stuff and all the old stuff gone?

reminder shows exact time you set it for example when you set it to 07-19-2003 18:00 it opens and beeps then ask you about snooze or dismiss if you select snooze it also ask you about time (5 minutes later 30 min later 1 hour later......)then it snooze again at the time you say
if you forgot your device in sound off mode it just open and blink the green led on power button

You can set your active sync to only sync selected items or only keep info for a certain amount of time. Open Activesync and while connected right click on the items you sync and there will be a settings option you can put your criteria there.

no no no, i'm not talking about the alarm. i mean when i create a new note on a certain date for example 7-19-03 NOTE go pick up wife at 10:30 and on the bottom it says reminder and it allows you to pick how many days or weeks in advance. how does this work? if i set it to 1 day in advance how come it won't show up on my Today screen?
