When I cut and paste a folder containing files to a new location I am unable to see the files in the folder in it's new location. If I cut and paste the folder back into it's original location the files are there again. I can cut and paste the individual files just fine. What is the deal? I assume this is not intended functionality. Thanks for any help.

How are you cutting and pasting? When I do that, the folder and the files move just like they should.

I just hold the stylus on the folder until the menu comes up, select cut, go to the new location. hold the stylus to the screen until the menu comes up, and select paste. Then I tap on the folder and it appears there is nothing in it. If I cut and paste the folder back where it originally was all the files are back.

Update: I just did a soft reset and everything is working now. Something must have been screwed up.

Is it a good idea to do periodic soft resets, say every few days, to keep everything running smoothly?

Just in case, you might want to copy/paste, then check. When everything is OK, delete the first version.
