I store my books on my SD Card and I can't find a setting that says that they are there.

I was not able to add any of the free ebooks from microsoft's summer reading madness, however I was able to add the Encarta Dictionary and a biblical book, I can't figure it out, any more ideas out there. I have added and deleted the free books, it just doesn't open.

Well heck

I tried the Palm reader, not to impressed for what I am use to.
Trying the Mobipocket reader adn its better or at least a littel friendlier to use. Opens everything including graphics no problem. Still first love is the MS reader so if I ever figure out how to get it to run properly I am back on it. I think between the Palm and the Mobipocket its the Mobipocket so far. But hey its only been one day since I have started to compare them.

After weeks of Reader dysfunction (Dictionaries yes, Free books from Microsoft no), I checked my version using kirador's advice. My Reader problem with my prefixed unsharp-Axim Version A04 -- as opposed to AOK) was that it reported the "no longer able to read" message while Microsoft reported that I HAVE the latest version! What was wrong was that I didn't, I had version 2.2.1 rather than 2.2.2.

So I installed the later version on top of the earlier (even though MS informed me that I had to remove the earlier version--something that I thankfully couldn't figure out how to do, since Reader wasn't listed as being installed in the remove software list, only MS activation). Everything has worked fine since. Thanks!

In summary, by ignoring Microsoft's explicit instructions and by ignoring its claim that I had the latest version, I was able to make Reader work. I leave it to the rest of you to find a moral to this story.

Thanks,

Bob (along with Otto, one of the few male palindromes)

Wellllllllllllllllllllll

I do have the most current version and to say it is less than ideal is like saying that .........well I can't come up with a good one right now.
However I have been exploring and trying new readers and I am getting pretty comfortable with Mobipocket reader. Not sure I will stick with it but it does appear to combine the best features of Reader and Advantgo durign the good times. It allows a user to download "E-News" similar to Advantgo. Any way to amke a long story short I will not give up on MS Reader but ........I am dating others.
