to buy or not to buy

im 14 and i have $233 and my bday is aug 20 should i get the dell axim for 293 in mid augest or wait for a new one ?

you mean a newer Ax...like the next great thing, or something? If that's the case--it's a hard cycle to get into. If you wait for the next great thing in tech you're always waiting. Basically, it's a matter of buying what you want with the knowledge that within 6 months or so, something will probably come along that makes yours look like it could have cobwebs on it.

However, the nice thing about the Ax is its expandability. It would do you quite well into the future if you bought it now. The next version will probably have a slightly faster processor and probably some Bluetooth or built-in wi-fi...but I can't see them making improvements that would justify a significant wait if you can buy now.

I'm with AxiMonkey on this....with the capabilities that the current Axims have, it will still seem new to you when the next model comes out.
