No Screen Protector

Anyone NOT using a screen protector? I don't particlarly like those things.
Does NOT using a screen protector cause any damage to the Axim's screen?
I've been using a Sony CLIE for over a year without one and notice no ill effect.
If screen protector is needed for the Axim? Which would you suggest?

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Axim.

I've tried a bunch of them and they're ok. I use them because it only takes one piece of dust on the tip of your stylus to makea scratch.

I just bought a 3 pack of WriteShields from www.ppcttechs.com

A lot of people say they are the best. I haven't tried them out yet, because my Ax hasn't arrived.

I don't use any, I just use a good car wax on mine.
Used on Palm for over two years, I use it on the new Axim. Works fine.

Has anyone noticed any actual physical damage to the Axim screen from NOT using a screen protector? You know, caused by stylus scratches.

No screen protector, and no damage so far. The Ax is very sensitive, you only need a light touch, which minimizes the possibility of a scratch. The stylus seems to be pretty good from the standpoint of not having sharp edges or burs.

I had a Jornado 540 that I used for years without a screen protector, and never had any damage to the screen. Of course, every screen is different. And the Jornado had a screen cover. I can't wait until an Ax cover comes out that lets me use a GPS card.

Well I had a palm that I never put a screen protector on and never really thought about it. But... I kept reading about them for my Ax and I decided that I didn't want to take the chance but I bought WriteShield's and they are great. I used my Ax w/o one for about a month and I have my Shield's for about two weeks now. I don't even realize they are on. I like to play Solitaire and with the dragging in that game I don't want to take a chance not for $300.

I didn't use a screen protector on my palm for the 3 years I used it. The main part of the screen is ok, but the actual part where you do the writing is all scuffed up. I am using a screen protector on the Ax. It's not a big deal - not like you really notice it or anything. I don't see the problem of using a screen protector.
