Thats almost funny. I don't wish to offend, but only someone who hadn't used both units for a period of time would utter such a statement. I still think the Axim is a super unit for the money but the 2210/15 not an upgrade? Take it from me it is. The real question should be whether the 2210 is worth the extra wonga if you take into consideration what you get? Well, I personally think it is but I would understand if someone else didn't.

Beat it. As has been pointed out before this site is frequented by a variety of people some have more sense than others.
Axim is my weapon of choice. YOu want HP go find a site that features the same quality of this one and discuss HP...if you can that is.

Yes, there is an HP2215. It is running EZBoard and looks pretty nice. I have a user account over there and am hoping it does the same for HP2215 users that Aximsite has done for us.
-JmE-
(In case someone is wondering, no I do not own an HP2215. They are just very similar devices.)

Forums are for sharing views and opinions, even when they don't agree. In my case, I own PDA's from both PPC and Palm. I prefer Palm, but I don't bash PPC. I think the Axim is a great device and excellent value, and I think this is a great site. Unfortunately I do have problems with mine, but I do like it. So I live in both PDA worlds, therefore I post on and peruse multiple forums. Someone did point out that there are univeral values in this site even if you don't have an Axim. Plus, I think people enjoy the community aspect. The whole issue is to have spirited discussions that are not offensive. I have no problem with people talking about their other devices, and it's okay, but yes, when someone is on a specific PDA site constantly bragging about another PDA-okay, that can get annoying. Especially when it's a Palm vs PPC type thing. I had an Ipaq user post a sarcastic comment to my post on a Palm site, and I was like, hey, this IS a Palm site, so like, what do you expect people to be talking enthusiastically about? However, he still has a right to post, as long as he's not outright slamming a particular user. (it wasn't a slam to me, just a sarcastic comment about Palm). And even if his Ipaq talk gets annoying. But, naturally, when people are on a specific site, it stands to reason that the readership will be biased toward that specific device. So like if I sit here and talk about all the merits of my Palm device well, I'm not to expect quite the reception that I might get at a Palm site. And I agree, some people may post just to be annoying, but we can all be the bigger people and brush it off, right? Just as long as it is not a insult to a specific person. But even so, those annoyed have a right to express their annoyance too, as long as it's also not an outright slam.

But I don't try to blatantly rile the resident population with irrational statments about their equipment.

Star50 you really need to be careful. Thats at least two posts recently that you have psoted well thought out and reasoned responses...........your reputation will be in tatters if your not careful.
On a serious note you do add a lot to this site. I almost always check to see what the last post you have made is so I can view it. Not trying to sound like a fan club................seeeeshhhhhhhh. :rolling:

You GO, babskanupp!!!
(and hey, I LOVE the avatar)!
Exactamundo, Babs......
I'd like to think that maybe the thread starter was just getting annoyed because quite a few other people on this site (believe me, I've seen them) have said how annoyed they were at Dell etc., etc., etc. and that they've heard how great the ipaq2215whatever is (and I'm sure it is, for that price ;) ).
However, I still think the Dell Axim is phenomenal...not only for the value you get, but for all the fantastic features!
Personally, I love the weight, feel and size of the Axim. The rubber side grips are great, the replaceable battery and flash rom are key features, and the TWO (count'em, TWO) NON-PROPRIETARY card slots are awesome. Of course there are going to be little issues here and there, but all in all, it's been a great ride and I'm gonna keep it going for as long as possible!!
Axim PXA255 'till the end!!!!
:p :D  :) :p

Still a good resource...
I sold my last Axim (I've had 2) for only ONE reason...size. I really wanted something smaller and lighter to carry in my bag and the HP 22xx fits the bill perfectly. I had absolutely NO probs w/ the Axim...it's a great PPC and the best value for the $$.
But, I'm not having any probs w/ the iPAQ either and it came w/ WM2K3 already installed. It has some good additional features too.
So, I still come here for tips, tricks, and just plain sensible advice.
Oh, and just to see what outrageous things star50fiveoh is going to post next......:p. Of course, after 2 posts that are totally rational, his rep is in serious jeopardy...

LOl well now
Once you spend a little time in the south the conversion process begins. You slowed the process of becoming "Southerized" by moving back to NYC but its inevitable that you will complete the process.
YOu do knwo what the difference between a yankee and a Damn yankee is dont' you?
"A yankee is once that comes down here and then goes back up north and a "Damn yankee" is one that moves down here and tells us how we do things wrong, but we can't run them back up north with a stick.
Uh Ho off topic..........I will get a warning soon from Cagy.........
