Heart Aximsite.com's SOFTWARE developers - TAKE A BOW

Take a bow and tell everyone what software you have done for the Pocket PC. Other users, make sure to support our own developers here and buy their products if you are interested in it. I know one of our moderators has delveloped a little app and I know others have too !

This is the time to stand up, tell us about it and bow !

I've been developing for handhelds for about 6 years now. We primarily do route accounting software. Recently I started developing on the side in my spare time with several other developers. Here's what we are currently working on:

File Explorer style app for 255 bit encryption. The program mimics File Explorer but it doesn't hide dlls and other files. It's very near completion. The encyption routines will be packaged as a dll for other developers. I will release a shareware version of the program soon. In the future we will be adding RAR and ZIP functionality.

CE SQL Server Database programming tool. We are working on a desktop product that wil allow you to write database programs for your handheld. It will more or less be very GUI and similiar to MS Access. You will be able to create your own table, forms, and reports for use on the handheld.

Those are our main projects. We have several others, but they are on the back burner. If anyone has any suggestions on a utility that wuold be useful, then PM me any time. I will try to get screen shots of these programs and post them on our site. I really love my Axim... it's by far the best value. I worked with all types of handhelds (some I wonder why they called a handheld... we called them bricks). The AximSite is full of great info!! Thanks for the great job!

Personaly I think

That you guys are great. Maybe we should start a thread that is for software suggestions that are out of the norm to help give the programers an idea of "neat" or "nice to have" small apps. I know that there have been a couple of posts along that line and maybe there is already something that is like that already present that I have missed. Since I have managed IT and ERP systems programers in the past I can say that I have always been amazed at how "programers" think ........in most cases its different than non programers (notice how adroitly I avoided saying "normal People" think? I'm not a manger for nuthing.lol)

Glad you liked it
actually it's in the 5th place of the best-sellings
check the right hand column in www.pocketgear.com

and also I promiss you're going to like the new version more (free for old users and might be more expensive for new buyers once released)

We just wish to get a review here in AximSite, I contacted the review team and sent them a review copy, they haven't came back to me yet

I would agree, we have barely tapped the potential of PPC's in my opinion, something I'd like to have is a nice free program to make the buttons on my Axim multifunctional , like if you hold down the calandar button you can set it to load a different program (doesent seem too be to hard to program) , personally I think stuff like this should be included with the OS but thats just me. I'm aware theres one out there but its not free :D
