Do a forum search ("Quick Search" at the top of this page) for "TI" or "calculator". You'll find lots of discussion.

I use a program called RDCALC -- very good, and costs about $12.

An emulator isn't available, but someone pointed out a product called Space Time to me today that looks really interesting. It is going to be released mid-August, and I am definitely interested in it. It is supposed to have more capabilities than the TI-83.

If you're a student, getting to use a ti89 in an exam might be hard work. Can you imagine trying to convince some crabby exam supervisor that you don't have the entire class notes stashed away on your pda?

I believe the emulator is asking for what calculator ROM you have, not your Pocket PC ROM.

You'll soon find out a physical calculator is MUCH easier to use than an emulator

Virtual TI for pocket pc.
Exactly what you were looking for. For free, of course (though you'll need a ROM from a calculator).

and where can we download the ROM... legally I mean. The thing is that I bought the TI from a friend and I don´t have the cable to connect it to the PC so I can´t download the ROM directly from my calculator. But once I read that it is available from the TI webpage but I haven´t been able to find it.

Any link, anyone?

Oh, I like my TI-59 emulator on my x3i:

1000 program steps with 100 memories ...
Loads and stores programs just like that ...
'Prints' the results as a text file ...

Yeah - I'm nostalgic :p

Nostalgic ? I have a ti35!

The SpaceTime updated link is here but it is $59 http://www.spacetimemobile.com/

here is a t083 emulator http://instantnetworks.net/quickshare/vti83.zip but it is for windows.

I too would like to know where to get a TI emulator and ROms for the handheld. At $50 you could buy a nice used ti or an ok used one...

I had a TI-89 calculator, but I gave it to my little brother because I didn't need it anymore. He's only 13 :D. I'm waiting for him to find the equation solver.
