An emulator isn't available, but someone pointed out a product called Space Time to me today that looks really interesting. It is going to be released mid-August, and I am definitely interested in it. It is supposed to have more capabilities than the TI-83.

If you're a student, getting to use a ti89 in an exam might be hard work. Can you imagine trying to convince some crabby exam supervisor that you don't have the entire class notes stashed away on your pda?
You'll soon find out a physical calculator is MUCH easier to use than an emulator

and where can we download the ROM... legally I mean. The thing is that I bought the TI from a friend and I don´t have the cable to connect it to the PC so I can´t download the ROM directly from my calculator. But once I read that it is available from the TI webpage but I haven´t been able to find it.
I had a TI-89 calculator, but I gave it to my little brother because I didn't need it anymore. He's only 13 :D. I'm waiting for him to find the equation solver.
