Media Player and New Media Players

Is it just me.....

When I first got my Axim, I searched for a mp3 player. Something along the lines of Winamp. I found a couple programs, installed them, didn't like them and uninstalled them. I then had an error - something to the effect of No Skin for Media Player. I was forced to do a hard reset.

After the hard reset - I played with some other mp3 player software, removed them and now I can no longer click on MP3's directly to bring them up in Media Player.

I have had to work with Media Player so long - I am comfortable using it and using the program to create playlists to play the music I want.

Is anyone else have similar problems? I am going to do one more hard reset to fix this problem and setup my Ax the way I want. Then, if I check out any other media software - I'll backup my ax first.

I regularly backup my ax and then store it on my computer as a file in the month.day.year format. Just part of owning a pocket PC it seems.
