Active Sync Problems

I am having problem with Active Sync on the Axim? Sometimes when I cradle, it syncs and lots of times it doesn't. I have to use the Switcher to kill AS and then re-cradle. I suspect that another program may be hanging the process, although it is pretty fishy that AS would do this. Has anybody else experienced this problem? Is there a way to "see" what program may be in contention, etc?

Sounds like a bad usb connection.
I can dock and undock my unit repeatedly without closing AS on the axim, and it just works.
When I went to sync up my son's axim, however, it kept checking com ports over and over again until I reseated the sync plug and then finally it recognized it.

Nope! It isn't anything to do with the USB connection...already eliminated that as a problem. It is definitely software related!
