Worried MS Reader problems - Help

Hello, okay here we go:

It seems that the MS Reader program that came factory installed on my Axim can not be uninstalled. It is version 2.2.1. There now exists a version 2.2.2 that I have downloaded onto my PC's desktop until I can figure out what to do with it. Dell's Support was lousy. They had me do a hard reset and then go to the remove programs area to see if MS Reader was there. It was not, because like I told the nice lady, it was pre-installed and so can not be removed! After about 30 minutes of being on hold or given poor advice, I was told I would just have to have two versions on my Axim! But wait, since I've already bought eBooks, I was willing to do this, however the set-up for 2.2.2 specifically stated any older versions need to be removed!!!!! I'm sorry, perhaps I jumped ahead. I had to install MS Reader onto my PC so that I could buy a couple of books to transfer to my Ax. That went smooth, but when I tried to open them on my Ax I was given a message that MS Reader could no longer access them. eBooks.com indicated this was because I don't have the latest version (2.2.2). So I guess that sums it up some. What do I do now?

KnightAnole,

The reason for your error message (ie Reader cannot access books) is because you have two versions installed on your Ax and the ms reader links to main memory which is NOT where the newest version of Reader is located. What you have to do is uninstall the new version then reinstall it in the SAME place as your old version (main memory). Don't worry about uninstalling the old version first because it's not necessary.
