:crooked: Okay my AXIM was built in dec 2002 I have not done the ROM upgrade and I see no reason to go to PPC2003 so ? is should I go to new rom and ppc2003? what will my benifits be??? also AXIM(knock on wood) has performed flawless since I boughtg it!!! Iam I one of the lucky ones?

As of now, there really is no point in upgrading to 2003. However, WM2003 is optimized for the xscale processor. Therefore, in the near future, there will be programs made specifically for Windows Mobile 2003 and the x-scale processor that run great on WM2003, but won't run on 2002.

Ya I think your right daximx5. I have seen no major improvements since I did the "upgrade". I would wait untill there is a need to run that os. Unless you have a pxa255 chip. You won't get much of a speed improvement. Sense yours was built in december I can GUARUNTEE that you don't have a 255 chip. Hold off if you ask me. Unless you just gotta have it (then do whata gotta do) You know?

I'm running my Axim basic on ROM version A00 with no problems at all. I downloaded the A01 and A02 upgrades but never installed them.

I cant help it I JUST HAVTA UPGRADE if it is possible.

and rightfully so... the new 2003 upgrade boosts speed up conciderably, so much I now always run in 200mhz mode, even on half the mhz its still faster than ppc 2002 on normal running games. In normal mode with 2003 the speeds anywhere from 2-4x faster in games. And I have the old 400mhz pxa250 as well. but really if your not a "power user" or you dont play many games (shame on you! ;) ) the upgrade doesent do much else.
