Latest ROM Version?

Just received my AXIM yesterday and noticed my ROM version is A00. I thought the current version was A05? If the current Version is indeed A05, why in the world would Dell ship a new one, with outdated firmware? Also, do I need to send it back to get updated, or can they send me a patch?

I don't think this is as big a deal as people are making it. Mine is A00 also, but it works perfectly. I have no problems at all.

Hi John,

A00 is the software revision, while A04/05 is the hardware revision number :)

Take the battery off and look at the line where the Service Tag information is - you'll see all that information there :)

Yep, my hardware is A04 and software is A00. Didn't realize they were different
