Clear Screen Protectors

A friend showed me his Compaq and it had a clear screen protector on it. It really looked good. I asked him the brand and he couldn't remember, only that he bought it at Best Buy. I call them and they said the Sony protectors are clear. Anyone know about this? Will they fit an Axim?

There are several brands available. You can even order them directly from dell. Instead of waiting two weeks, go to staples, best buy, compusa or circuit city, etc and pick some up. I am using ones made by fellows. I think I'm using one designed for the Jordana(sp?). I picked it because it said 'designed for pocket pc' on the front. It's slightly smaller than the screen. I'd say 2mm on the length and 1mm on the width. I can easily live with that until ones for the axim are widely available. ;)

Is it clear or does it have a none glare, matt, finish?

By chance, where those the WriteRight screen protectors for the Jornada 520 & 540? The Staples near my fathers house had them for around $7 per pack, so I had him pick up the last two packs. I was reading on the forum somewhere that the 520 & 540 ones fit the Axim pretty nicely. I haven't received them from my father yet, but when I do, I will post the results of the fit.

I am using the WriteRite protectors designed for the IPAQ because I had read somewhere on the net that the Axim and the IPAQ had the same screen. In reality the protectors for the IPAQ are somewhat big for the Axim's screen. What I have been doing is cutting the IPAQ protectors to the Axim's screen size. Not a big deal. I am waiting for the WriteRite people to start making protectors specifically for the Axim.

I just bought the only pack of writerights that our Staples had for the Jornada 520/540 PocketPc to have when my precious thing arrives (hahaha).. according to the quoted dimensions posted here on the site, it should fit about perfectly.. they are MAYBE 1mm smaller in width, but I can live with that for $7.50 for 12 of them... :)
