why does my ax turn on automatically?

i have my axim plugged in with the travel usb synch cabel and the power cabel and everytime i put the power off my ax jumps on by itself after some time and always shows the " my info" screen. is this because i'm still connected to my comp with active sync or whats my prob? :s

I'm not sure... a few of us have been having similar problems. I can take my Axim out of the cradle and turn it off, only to have it power on 5 minutes later... :(

I've noticed if I turn off Active Sync in my "running programs" on the Ax, it will not turn on every few minutes. It keeps on sync-ing while it is on the cradle or hooked to the sync cord. Perhaps there is a place to turn off that feature so you can charge your battery after just one sync, but I have not found it yet.

If you shut down Active Sync, you shouldn't have that problem. I have learned to do that to avoid battery drainage.
