Does Your Axim Keep You Up At Night?

My Axim 400 keeps turning itself on (evening in the middle of the night) and states " Trouble Connecting Unable to connect with current settings......" How come? I sync my Axim a couple times a day but I never use it to search the web or directly connect to the web. Anybody know what's up?

Check your running programs. If Active Sync is listed, turn it off. That may solve your problem. Let us know.

Is this what you wanted me to try?

I tapped on "Remove Programs" then "Adjust Memory Allocation" then "Running Programs".

There are no programs showing in the list.

Sorry that didn't work.

One other thing comes to mind. Do you have WM 2003? I don't, so I don't know how the internet connection works with 2003. But if you do have 2003, perhaps something is set that makes it want to find an internet connection. You might check that.

if it's 2003, start Activesync, then Tools/Mobile Schedule and make sure you ahve slected "Manually" for both wireless options. If 2002, then Tools/schedule and uncheck everything.

haha-- the thing that keeps me up at night is the glowing blue 'dell' logo on the cradle.. i covered it with some electrical tape, and it helped.. then i had the whole turning on in the middle of the night thing, as well.. so i had to make sure i shut down activesync so i wouldn't be pressured into bathing my axim in acid :D

Yeah that blue dell light is dang bright, I use it as a night light so I don't fall on my face heading to the bathroom in the dark.
