I have not seen any discussion on Microsoft's Theme Switcher (a part of the Theme Generator program). I just downloaded and installed Theme Generator and it prompted me to install Theme Switcher. I did and after playing around with it, I found it to a useful tool. I am using Theme Master and find Theme Switcher to be almost as good.

Anyone else using Theme Switcher?

I loaded it yesterday then selected a half dozen digital photos I took in Scotland, ran them through theme gen and place them on my Ax. Looks great and I cycle about every 2 hours. I had no problem with the install or activation. :)

Yes, I found it to be easy to use also. I didn't realize how easy it is to generate themes for the Axim and to be able to select and rotate them.

Thanks for mentioning this. I had it and didn't even realise it. Saved me buying something I don't need.

I'm going to resurrect this thread (and include a link):
http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pock.../powertoys.asp

as this is a set of very useful apps, especially for folks using XP. Plus, they're all free!

You get a Theme Generator for the PC which lets you easily make themes for your Axim.

It installs extensions to windows, so that you can view the .tsk files using explorer, just as easily as if they were .jpgs or .bmps.

It provides you with the Theme Switcher program itself for the axim, which will enable you to load up a variety of available, or custom-made themes, and rotate through them automagically, so that you never tire of the same old thing. (You can also just tap the Theme Switcher on your screen, to jump to your next theme)

But remember, the PC-side programming is for XP. As it is freeware, the Theme Switcher alone has been posted on several other sites, for people running other operating systems, if you just want the axim-side software.

This is a great tool!
