Help! What operating system should I be using in my Axim X5?

I have and Axim X5 that has Pocket PC Version 3.0.1171. I hear people talking about WM2003 and PPC 2002/2003 and I dont know what the heck they are talking about.

Can anyone tell me what I should have or upgrade to, so that I can get the best performance from my Axim. I am planning on purchasing a Wifi card and GPS very soon and want it to work!

These should be two seperate posts, since the topics are totally different. I am going to answer the first one, since it was here first.

You have wm2002 on your device. It can also be called ppc2002. The same with the 2003 version. The x5 shipped from dell back in the day with wm2002. Then dell released an upgrade for wm2003. This upgrade is not avaliable from dell anymore, so you will have to try ebay or somewhere else.

Benefits of the upgrade are more compatibility with newer versions of software, and having a newer os.
