MS Money 2004 problems

I've been using MS Money 2001 since, well, 2001, and decided to upgrade to 2004 so I could use Pocket Money. I bought 2004 today and installed it on my desktop. I then installed Pocket Money that came with 2004. Everything seemed to work fine, but I can't synchronize. If I open Activesync and go to tools or options where I can usually manipulate the sync properties, Money 2004 shows up but there is no block next to it to check. It's just there.

Also, does anyone know if Pocket Money has to be installed in main memory? When I install it on the SD card I can't open it using the icon in programs. As a matter of fact the Money icon isn't there, it uses the default program icon. If I select it I get an error msg stating the moneyce.exe file can't be found. I can go to that file on my SD card through File Manager and open it though. Is that why I can't sync with it?

I've tried to install it in main memory but can't for some reason, which may be another issue. Even if I select Main Memory as the installation location in Activesync it will still install on the SD card. I even removed the SD card and tried to install it but it created a folder named SD Card and installed it in there! Weird. I have no idea why this is happening.

Fixed it.

Like most others who have posted problems with Pocket Money, I got it working. I tried uninstalling it from my Axim, doing a hard reset, and installing again, but that didn't fix the problem. So this morning I completely uninstalled Money 2004 from my desktop and Axim, did a hard reset again, and reinstalled both again. This time it works and I can synchronize. I'm not sure what the problem was. I had Money 2001 before installing 2004, and I didn't uninstall it first. I just let 2004 remove it during installation. Maybe that was the problem. If anyone else out there is using an older version of Money and thinking of upgrading, you might want to uninstall your previous version first instead of letting 2004 do it.
