docking issues

I bought a docking cradle off of Ebay to use on my home computer (XPPro). Before I had only the one docking cradle and normally use it at work. I can take my one from work and it works fine at home but the Ebay one does not work. Now I don't have the charging cord with it just the USB cord but I don't think that matters. When I plug dock it with the Ebay dock the computer recognizes in Device Manager it says Windows CE USB Device then Axim USB Sync but Activsync can not find it. Any ideas?
