Greetings,

I can't seem to sync my contacts (including sub contacts, groups ect..) from my desktop computer (Outlook 2000) to my Axim pocket Outlook.
I downloaded the Pocket PC fix from Microsoft and it still does not work.
For example, on my desktop computer program (Outlook 2000), my groups are real estate offices and I have agents in each group.
When try to I sync them to my Axim contacts, it does not work.

Am I missing the BIG picture?

Greetings to you too,

No you are not missing the "Big" picture. I was also having the same problem but then someone suggested the following and it's working.

Currently, Active Syn does not support syncronizing sub folders in the contacts in MS Outlook (from desktop) to Axim or vice versa. The only way you can distribute contacts under different sub names is to create or assign (if you already have contacts list in MS Outlook) different categories. Also, create the identical categories in your Axim's contact folder. For example, I distribute contacts under categories like, Personal, Friends, Business, etc.

In your case, I suggest, create category for each real estate office and assign these categories to each contact associated with that office.

One more thing, once you created or assigned the categories, open the Active Syn icon on your desktop (but donot Syn) click "Options" then select "Contacts" and click on "Settings". In the "Settings" tab there are three choices, make sure that the first two are blank. Check the third choice and also make sure that under the third choice you see all the categories that have been created and also that all thoes categories have a check mark next to them. Once you finish then Syn.

Noe go back to to Axim and confirm that the contact screen now has a dropdown arrow, clicking this arrow will give you the list of the categories just select the one you wanted to see.

I hope this will assist you.

Try the following web link. I had no problems at all.

http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2002/opcs.aspx

Instructions are very good for a change.
