I used the transcriber option yesterday and it converted to printed text perfectly.
Tried to use it today in "Notes" and it is producing a foreign language that isn't even close to what I am writing. HELP.........HELP............HELP

I did a soft reset and no change. If I can't use the transcriber, I'm lost!

Thanks in advance.

You have to write across the screen in straight lines, for one thing.
There is an arrow at the bottom left of the screen which should line up with your writing style, either straight across or diagonal. Make sure that the recognizer is set for "lower case a" if you're writing script.

Yesterday the arrow you speak of was on my screen. Today I can't find it. Also, where do I go to set the recognizer to "lower case a"?

Thanks again.

If you start a pword doc, and select transcriber, there will be a toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
From left to right, I have a black orientation arrow, the character type selector (a black square with a lower case a in white), the punctuation/ symbol selector, a tutorial/setup icon, and some other stuff.
The character type selector is what I was calling the lowercase a. The black arrow has to point up for the orientation of the device when you write. The easiest to keep neat for myself is to point the arrow straight up, and then write straight across the screen ... avoid going diagonal.
